What Is IATA ?
Established on 19th April 1945 in Havana, Cuba, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has emerged as the primary driving force behind inter-airline cooperation. IATA’s core mission is to champion safe, dependable, secure, and cost-effective air services, all for the betterment of global consumers. Over the decades, the international scheduled air transport industry has witnessed an astounding growth rate, expanding more than a hundredfold since its inception in 1945. A Global Network of Aviation Excellence
At its inception, IATA united 57 members representing 31 nations, primarily in Europe and North America. Today, the organization thrives with approximately 290 members hailing from 120 nations across the globe. In April 2020, IATA celebrated its 75th anniversary, commemorating years of fruitful collaboration with member airlines in advancing aviation as a symbol of freedom.
The modern IATA serves as the direct successor to the International Air Traffic Association, which was initially established in the Hague in 1919 – a significant milestone marked by the world’s inaugural international scheduled services.

About IATA Exams
Exam Method: The exam is conducted online with remote supervision or at designated IATA Exam Centers.
Examination Dates: January, March, May, July, September, November annually.
Exam Format: The format comprises multiple-choice questions.
Question Count: A total of 100 questions.
Time Allocation: Candidates are allocated 3 hours for the exam.
Passing Grade: A minimum of 60 correct answers is required to pass.
Attempt Allowance: Each candidate may attempt the exam twice.
